Sister

Once every summer my sister comes and spends the weekend with us. We take a day and go shopping and eat out. Productive Day

Pool

The weather has been so cool lately during the day and at night that our pool has really cooled down. Then today it actually gets warm enough where I would have loved to gone in it but was afraid I would get sick from being in such cold water. So, I laid out on the deck instead and of course in rolls the thick clouds. I did get a little sun though so it wasn't a total waste.

Work

I had to work today to help the housekeeper with some dusting and cleaning windows. I spent most of my time dusting furniture, tables, lamps, window sills, you name it. I was crawling around on the floor trying to get the wood clear down by the floor. I really don't enjoy dusting and today I know I don't like it.

America's Got Talent

Are you watching America's Got Talent? I wasn't going to but a coworker persuaded me to do so. So now every Tuesday and Wednesday night I have it recording on our DVR. I didn't care for it at first but am enjoying it more now. I don't understand why they let certain ones go through. You would think they would want better entertainment. It will be interesting to see who wins it.

Family Reunion

My husband and sons were able to go to the family reunion on my husband's side this past weekend. They had a wonderful time. It was so good for them to see family that came from Texas and Tennessee. I couldn't go because I had to work but I am glad they could go. They played volleyball, had a bonfire, shot off fireworks and ate lots of good food. It sounded like a great time.

County Fair

Last week our small town had it's county fair. They make a big deal out of it with a fair parade to kick it off. I use to like to go when our boys were small but really don't care anymore. It is so small and not too exciting. I know a lot of the people who live here enjoy it and that's good. It rained a lot and was kind of chilly the whole time so that put a damper on things.

Tired

I'm beginning to slow down for the evening. I have been blogging a lot today and it is catching up with me. It is about 8:30 and about time to call it a night. I feel good about all the posting I've gotten done today, Yay! I need to motivate myself to finish up tomorrow.

Car Troubles

It wasn't too long ago our son called us and told us that his car had broken down so the next day my husband had to drive over two hours to fix it and get it back to their place. Then a week later he saw my husband at a family reunion and said the same car had a flat tire. We are thinking, " What else can happen?" So they took the tire to Walmart to see if they could get it fixed but they said the tire was no good. So the car is sitting there without a tire until my husband finds one for it. I hope the car troubles stop soon.

Baby Robin

It was so cute today when my husband came home for lunch. He looked out the back door and there was the cutest little baby robin hopping up on our back steps. It was almost like he was telling us to let him in the house. I went to grab my camera and just that quick he was off the step and hopping toward the neighbors place. He was pretty adorable.

Family Vacation

I love taking vacations especially a family vacation. We have so much fun together and enjoy laughing and spending time away from home. A couple years back my husband and I were blessed to take a trip to the Riviera Maya. Open House

My husband and I work at a retirement facility and this Sunday we are going to have an open house. In the past year there have been 3 new remodeled apartments there and they are beautiful and worth seeing. I hope there will be a good turnout of people.

Working

I have been working so many extra days this month. It is getting tiring but sure nice on the check. I have one day off this week out of seven. My sister is coming to visit for the weekend so I have to try hard not to get too run down. We love to spend a day shopping and I don't want to be too pooped for that. I'm looking forward to it very much.

Sister

This Friday my twin sister is coming to stay with us till Sunday. We try to do this at least once a summer. On Saturday we take the whole day and go shopping and eat out. We have so much fun and talk and laugh. It really is a great time. I hope the time goes slow because it comes and goes so quickly then it's another whole year before we get to do it again.

A Great Dad

My niece recently went to the pool in their area with her husband and little girl. They had the best time and while they were there they took some really cute pictures.
